On June 7, the 229 meter long, 81162 dwt bulk carrier Tong Shun suffered water ingress while berthed at Santos, Brazil. The Tong Shun was loading 69,000 tons of soy when it suffered hull failure resulting in water ingress in the ballast tanks. The flooding couldn’t be controlled increasing the vessel’s draft. With the additional draft, the Tong Shun touched bottom. No report of injuries.
