Ebonnie Disabled

The 15 meter long fishing vessel Ebonnie became disabled off Alderney, Channel Islands after it had suffered an engine failure.   The vessel contacted the RNLI who responded sending the lifeboat Roy Barker I to the scene.   The Roy Barker I took the Ebonnie under tow back to Braye Harbour the same day.  None of the 6 people on the Ebonnie were injured.

RHL Fidelitas Collision

RHL Fidelitas Collision

The 62,921 dwt boxship RHL Fidelitas collided with a pilot boat and allided with the concrete pier at the port of Odessa, Ukraine.   The pilot boat’s stern was crushed and later sank at the pier.   The pier itself sustained significant damage.   The cause of the accident was due to a main engine failure on the RHL Fidelitas.   No reports of injuries or casualties.   An investigation into the incident is being conducted.
