The standby vessel Ocean Sun (962 dwt) had a fire in the engine room off Flamborough Head in the North Sea in a fresh gale with 18 to 25 foot waves. The crew was able to extinguish the fire and regain some power. The Ocean Sun provides support for the gas rig Ensco 72. No reports of injuries to the 12 man crew, but the vessel will be returning to Aberdeen.
