On September 28. the 62 meter long fishing vessel Krossfjord became disabled off Kristiansund, Norway. The trawler had suffered engine failure and was unable to restore power.  The Krossfjord requested assistance and the patrol boat Sortland responding. The Sortland took the Krossfjord under tow back to Kristiansund. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 91 meter long research vessel Atlantic Explorer hit bottom while at Kristiansund, Norway.   The vessel had bunkered fuel which increased its draft causing the vessel to go aground.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  A later inspection showed no signs of damage.

Torvang

Torvang

The 68 meter long, 2818 dwt freighter Torvang suffered damage while en route to Kristiansund from Sunndalsøra.  The freighter arrived in Kristiansund. when the crew discovered the vessel had suffered water ingress in the cargo hold.   A small gash was found on the starboard bow just below the waterline.   The crew requested assistance from the local fire brigade who brought dewatering pumps and divers to the scene.   The divers were able to patch the hole while the pumps cleared the hold of water.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
