Hengfeng 907

On July 8, the 4700 dwt cargo vessel Hengfeng 907 went adrift on the Jinsha River near near Yibin, China. The Hengfeng 907, loaded with 3200 tons of phosphate, had been moored at a dock when heavy rains cause the river levels to rise some 7 meters. The Hengfeng 907 had its mooring lines snap and the cargo vessel drifted down the river. Authorities were alerted and dispatched vessels to her aid. After several hours, rescuers were able to help secure an anchor and prevented the Hengfeng 907 from a possible capsizing. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
