Atlantic Endeavour Aground

The 55 foot long fishing vessel Atlantic Endeavour was blown ashore near Cow HeadNewfoundland.  The fishing vessel was caught in a severe storm with 40 knot winds and 4 meter high waves.   The two crew on board sent out a distress call as the vessel struck a rocky shoal and began to take on water.   The men took to the life raft tethered to the vessel waiting for rescue.   Authorities dispatched a helicopter to the scene who winched the two men to safety.   No reports of injuries.
