Sinn

The 105 meter long self-propelled barge Sinn ran aground on the Danube near Hofstetten, Germany. The Sinn had struck a gravel barge damaging the propeller.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. Traffic was barred by the water police as the vessel was stranded alongside the shoreline.

The 65 meter long, 1260 dwt cargo vessel Nathalie ran aground on the Schelde Estuary near Antwerp, Belgium.  The Nathalie was en route to Ghent when it struck a stony embankment. No reports of injuries.  The Nathalie was refloated a few hours later and was able to continue under it’s own power.

On August 27, the 109 meter long reefer Green Egersund allided a floating dock at the shipyard in Gydnia, Poland. The hull was breached including one of the fuel tanks. Reports state heavy fuel oil spilled into the harbour.  No injuries reported.
