Atlantic Breeze

The fishing vessel Atlantic Breeze ran aground near the entrance to Nassau Sound near Jacksonville, Florida.  The fishing vessel suffered water ingress and the crew sent out a distress call to the Coast Guard.  The Coast Guard dispatched the 45 foot rescue boat to the scene.  The Coast Guard rescued the three crew on board the Atlantic Breeze and took them safely ashore.  No reports of injuries.

Lancero

The 78 foot long fishing vessel Lancero became disabled after suffering water ingress in the Gulf of Mexico off Sabine, Texas. The Lancero, with five crew on board, contacted the Coast Guard requesting assistance.   The Coast Guard launched a rescue helicopter and airplane to the scene.  The Coast Guard was able to drop three dewatering pumps to the vessel while another fishing vessel arrived on scene to assist.   The water ingress was brought under control and the Lancero proceeded under its own power to Brownsville.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.  The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the incident.

River Art

The 125 meter long passenger ship River Art allided with the lock wall on the Danube River at Jochenstein, Germany.  Damage was minimal and the vessel was able to continue on with its voyage.  Two passengers were slightly injured when part of the ceiling fell.   No reports of pollution being released.

Collision off Singapore

The 216 meter long, 93379 dwt bulk freighter Spring Glory collided with the 229 meter long, 35082 dwt container ship Josephine Maersk in the Singapore Strait.  Both vessels sustained minimal damage and were able to resume voyage.   The Spring Glory proceeded on to China while the Josephine Maersk headed to Tanjung Pelepas.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
