The 55 meter long, 823 dwt freighter Faktor ran aground off Huglo Island, Norway.   The vessel was en route from Haugesund to Jondal with a cargo of shingles and sand when the mate fell asleep at the helm.  The vessel ran up on the rocky shore, but no reports of water ingress or pollution being released.  A salvage tug was requested and refloated the vessel later the same day.   The vessel proceed to Olen for further inspection.  No reports of injuries to the five crew on board.  Authorities suspect alcohol or drugs as a factor and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
