Aground on St. Marys River

A 48 foot fishing vessel went aground on the St. Mary’s River off Neebish Island, Michigan.   The crew contacted the Coast Guard who  launched rescue vessels to the scene.   The station’s smaller craft was able to safely rescue the two crew off the fishing vessel and bring them back to shore.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.   The owners of the vessel have arranged for salvage.
