I was on the MS River Concerto. The Captain and the entire crew were absolutely fabulous during the emergency situation. We’re all so grateful no one was seriously injured.

I was a passenger on the MS River Concerto when we were hit at 1:00am on May 21, 2011. We were taking on water on Levels 1 and 2. The Captain/Crew handled the emergency with much skill. The passengers were calm considering that we had a huge anchor in the gaping hole in our ship. We were blessed/lucky that no one was killed and just a few injured. Grand Circle is a great line; I will travel with them again.

Where can I get the official accident report for this May 22 accident between the River Concerto and the tanker Margaux?

We were on the dock waiting for the Concerto in Amersterdam and are not happy with how we were ignored by Grand Circle. Our trip was sumarily canceled. There was no one on the dock to inform us of of the accident (only a note tacked to a pole that we eventually saw after making other plans), and no one met other members of our party at the Amsterdam airport. Other members of our party were en route in New York and had their airline reservations cancelled with no reason given. They had to scramble in total darkness. Luckily one member of our party’s family got word of the collision and cancellation and let us know by e-mail. Those of us in Amersterdam were able to book another cruise. we’re done with Grand Circle.
